Performance variability regarding participants’ performance in questions belonging to the category visually “read beyond the data.” The proportions of correct answers per question and standard deviations are presented in panel A. Pairwise comparisons of proportions were performed, and p-values were subsequently adjusted using Bonferroni correction to mitigate the risk of committing type I errors. The adjusted significance of the differences of pairwise comparisons are presented in panel B
