BMC Medical Education volume 25, Article number: 707 (2025)
Correction: BMC Medical Education (2024) 24:870
Following publication of the original article [1], it was brought to the authors attention that the use of the Jefferson Scale of Empathy (S-version) required formal permission. Permission has since been obtained retrospectively from Thomas Jefferson University.
The authors confirm that payment for 200 uses of the Jefferson Scale of Empathy was completed and that retrospective permission was granted for its use in the research described in the article.
The authors would also like to clarify that the following statement should be added to the article:
“The JSE was used in this study with permission from Thomas Jefferson University.”
The authors apologize for any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused. The scientific content, results, and conclusions of the article remain unchanged.
